JTW 2017 Marlborough Pinot Gris

This catches plenty of flavor and delivers a wine with terrific balance and personality. Ripe apple and pear aromas and flavors with a gently fleshy and slightly off-dry twist at the finish. Drink now.

JTW 2015 Marlborough Pinot Noir

Distinctive bouquet of dark red berries and plum with a black cherry and plum compote suggestion; dark spices and obvious youthful woody expression with a toasty vanilla layer, obvious attention to detail with complexity. Dry, youthful, tense and quite fruity with flavours of dark cherry and plum, baked raspberry and vanilla toasty tones, medium+ acidity and firm youthful tannins. A lovely wine with some decent length and complexity.

JTW 2017 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Grown in the Wairau and Awatere valleys, the 2017 vintage (4.5*) was handled entirely in tanks and made in a fully dry (1.6 grams/litre of residual sugar) style. Light lemon/green, it is intensely varietal, with good weight and immediacy, strong, tropical fruit and herbaceous flavours, a slightly salty streak, and a crisp, long finish.

JTW 2016 Marlborough Gruner Veltliner

Fruity, ripe and quite vibrant varietal with suggestions of white radish and white herb, a pineapple (tin) note and stony mineral layer. On the palate – crisp, fresh, ripe, dry, hints of herb and pineapple, apple, radish, mineral. Plenty of acidity adding crispness and texture; balanced and well made. Youthful and still developing. Drink now and through 2022.

JTW 2016 Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Vibrant and pungent bouquet with very expressive aromas of tropical fruits, sweet herbs, wet stone, white peach and lemon; green apple layer; inviting. On the palate – juicy, fleshy and very flavourful with sweet fresh herbs, some passion and oineapple fruit; plenty of acidity, silken texture and lengthy finish. Classic example of Jules Taylor SB and Marlborough SB. Drink now and through 2022.

JTW 2015 Marlborough OTQ Sauvignon Blanc

I love the bouquet of this wine because it encapsulates the elements of mystery, ripe fruit, old barrel spice and mild nutty, almost burnt butter complexity; the aromas of peach and quince laced with grapefruit and river stone mineral is quite seductive. On the palate - dry, fruity, textured and packed with flavour - ripe peach, dried kitchen spice, soft nutty oak, a tease of vanilla, dry stone mineral, hay and wild honey moemnts. A lovely lengthy finish.
