BORN IN MARLBOROUGH
Born in Marlborough in the year the first vines were planted, Jules has literally grown up with Sauvignon Blanc.
Local girl Jules is deeply invested in the region and its grape-growing families,
and throughout her career has made some of Marlborough’s best known and successful wines.

Several life-affirming vintages in Italy underscored Jules’ love of wine as a simple pleasure to be enjoyed alongside good food and great friends.
Jules strongly believes wine should be more about creating great memories and less about status or cellaring potential.

CULTIVATED IN NEW ZEALAND
Back in Marlborough, Jules worked her way up to Group Senior Winemaker at Marlborough Valley Cellars and was responsible for making some of Marlborough’s best-loved wines. But with encouragement from friends and mentors, Jules branched out on her own, founding the imaginatively named “Jules Taylor Wines” in 2001 with a mere 200 cases.
Jules jokes that if they didn't sell, the family would just share them round for a very boozy Christmas!
