This wine has a rich palate and softer acid than classic expressions of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Candied pineapple, mango and citrus flavours interlace with notes of honey and butterscotch and then give way to a long smoky complex finish.

Captivating bouquet starting with barrel ferment and subtle spices of oak, some wild flowers athen fresh, ripe pure fruit aromas from the variety. Made 'On The Quiet', the 2020 vintage (4.5*) was grown in the Southern Valleys, fermented in old French oak barriques and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. Bright, light yellow/green, it is mouthfilling and sweet-fruited, with youthful, tropical fruit flavours to the fore, showing excellent depth, finely balanced acidity and a dry (1 gram/litre of residual sugar) finish.

VINEYARD NOTES
Jules selected particular sun-kissed bunches of fruit that were basking in the sunny Meadowbank Vineyard in the Taylor Pass subregion of Marlborough.
VINIFICATION
The grapes were hand harvested and then taken to the
winery and whole cluster pressed into old barriques where a fast, furious wild fermentation took
place followed by a full malolactic fermentation and occasional lees stirring in barrel.
