JULES TAYLOR OTQ SAUVIGNON BLANC 2022

"A delicious wine, modern and complex, an example showcasing the development of style from Marlborough and Sauvignon Blanc overall. Aromas and flavours of pears and golden kiwifruit, white fleshed orchard fruits and fine lees complexities. Not herbaceous and barely tropical, this wine is refreshing and very stylish, a great acid line and satin texture. Flavours of apple and citrus emerge as the wine opens out in glass, a lovely texture and lengthy. Best drinking from 2024 through 2029+."

JULES TAYLOR OTQ SAUVIGNON BLANC 2021

"This is a stunning rendition of the variety, showing fabulous complexity and refinement. The engaging bouquet shows fig, rockmelon, mango and grapefruit aromas with nuances of cashew and oatmeal. The palate delivers terrific weight and power, while remaining lively and vibrant. Wonderfully textured and beautifully flowing to an impressively long, mouth-watering finish."

SAM KIM, WINE ORBIT

JULES TAYLOR OTQ SAUVIGNON BLANC 2021

Aromas of baked apples, sliced almond, grapefruit and orange peel. Medium-bodied with a textural palate. Some density here with lees complexity. Vanilla and lemon curd at the finish.

WINEMAKER TASTING NOTES

"The sexy Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough!"

Think you know Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc? Think again. Listen to Jules describe the “On The Quiet” Single Vineyard Barrel Fermented Sauvignon Blanc.

✨ Tasting Highlights:
- Wild fermentation + barrel aging
- Notes of citrus curd, flint, and toasted almond
- Creamy texture, long finish, cellaring potential

PERFECT PAIRINGS

Rich, textured, and unlike any Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc you’ve tasted — Jules' On The Quiet Barrel Fermented Single Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc deserves a bold, flavour-packed pairing.

Jules loves it with Halloumi & smashed garlic potatoes with seasonal salsa. The wine’s creamy texture and flinty edge complement the salty halloumi and roasted garlic, while its vibrant acidity lifts the freshness of the salsa.

VINEYARD NOTES

This single vineyard Sauvignon Blanc started life in the Altimarloch Vineyard, nestled high in the Upper Awatere Valley of Marlborough. The elevated, windswept site delivers low yields of intensely flavoured fruit, thanks to its cool climate, alluvial soils, and long ripening season. Jules loves the intensity and broad array of flavours she finds there — the perfect foundation for a very special wine.

CELLARING NOTES

✔️ Drink now for elegant balance between tropical mango, pineapple, guava and crushed herbs, combined with toasted pecans and hazelnuts.
✔️ Cellar for 5–7 years to allow fruit to soften and integrate, while savoury, smoky undertones and creamy lees character will become more pronounced and complex.

Built for serious cellaring, this wine will evolve beautifully over time.
